STEM afternoon
We had a normal morning with M4T, Prove-it in Word Study (much better this week!) Read Aloud and Reader's Workshop. We are almost finished with The BFG and today, the BFG and Sophie acted on their plan and it worked perfectly! The Queen even invited them to stay for breakfast! Now, they have called in the Army and Air Force to plan on capturing the Giants and ridding them from eating poor little chiddlers forever! In Reader's Workshop, students worked on their book summaries using Photo Speak and Explain Everything, blogged and read independently. We, begrudgingly, had Music today although they are kind of music'd out right now... lunch and indoor recess. Our afternoon was spent partly at ADE working with either Mrs. Bolyard of myself on a STEM activity-either with Piggy's house of cards in my room or hoop gliders in Mrs. Bolyard's room. The other part of the afternoon was making our designs using Darby Creek's Maker Space. They loved it! We had a little extra time before Wonder Time so they asked me to read more from The BFG.
