Did they earn their party?

We have only needed 2 potato head pieces for quite some time now...I hope they earned them today!! Our day was to begin with M4T and morning meeting. They took a pre-test for Word Study and created their new lists. In Writer's Workshop, the students are writing persuasive letters to me to persuade me to promote them to 5th grade. The substitute read, The House on Maple Street and the students discussed what their story might be like if it were written about them. They read and completed vocabulary for a new story, the drama, in StoryWorks for Reader's Workshop and hopefully, were able to go to the library today. They had gym, lunch and recess. In Math Workshop, some worked on their Architecture project, some took their assessment and others continued to practice geometry for taking their test on Wednesday. They continued their work with changes to the environment by talking about oil spills for Science. As always, our day concluded with Wonder time.
