My position was unfilled today as I was home with my sick kiddo but I think they pulled the substitute from Art and put them in my room. Good thing we didn't have Art today! :) Anyway, I know what I left out for the students to complete but when it comes down to the specific happenings, you'll have to ask your kiddo on this one!
M4T, morning meeting and generalization practice in Word Study. They edited in Writer's Workshop to make their writing LOOK better. For Read Aloud, they read, Leo: A Ghost Story which is another March Book Madness book. Reading their independent chapter book and searching for the main problem or plot of their reading was the focus in Reader's Workshop. They had gym, lunch and I'm assuming outdoor recess. I hope that quiet time allowed them to create calm and center themselves for the afternoon. They worked with adding and subtracting fractions in two ways for math. One using a number line and the other using a visual model. Dr. Donna came in for Science today.
